Season 5 is Still Happening for 'Arrested Development,' According to Creator
Netflix's Arrested Development is still happening, supposedly, according to series creator Mitchell Hurwitz.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association, Hurwitz told the press that "we're very close."
"It's the thing I'm really desperate to do. We've got a lot of stories broken. We're ready to go. I'm so appreciative of the fans wanting more, I'd hate to tease them with information until we know it's going to happen... If it does happen, it looks like shooting would happen at the start of 2017."
The sitcom ran for three seasons on Fox from 2003-2006, before being picked up for a fourth on Netflix in 2013. Ever since them, rumours have circled without any concrete plans for a fifth season.
