Seven Agatha Christie Adaptations Coming to BBC.
After the success of And Then There Were None last Christmas, BBC confirmed that it has ordered seven more Agatha Christie adaptations for the next four years. And Then There Were None is a three-part miniseries with a cast which includes Aidan Turner, Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson and Charles Dance.
According to Radio Times, the next novel to be adapted is 'Ordeal By Innocence' which will be produced by Agatha Christie Production and Mammoth Screen and adapted for television by Sarah Phelps. BBC has confirmed that two other titles: 'Death Comes At The End' and 'The ABC Murders" will follow.
On top of the seven adaptation, BBC is currently filming The Witness For the Prosecution based on another Agatha Christie novel and also adapted by Sarah Phelps. It features Toby Jones, Andrea Riseborough and Kim Catrall and directed by Julian Jarrold.
"These new commissions continue BBC One's special relationship as the home of Agatha Christie in the UK" said Charlotte Moore, Director, BBC Content. "Our combined creative ambition to reinvent Christie's novels for a modern audience promises to bring event television of the highest quality to a new generation enjoyed by fans old and new."
