'Sicario' Collaborators Jóhann Jóhannsson and Denis Villeneuve Re-Team for 'Blade Runner 2
Sicario composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has rejoined Sicario director Denis Villeneuve for the highly anticipated sequel to Blade Runner, set to offer a soundtrack undoubtedly as immersive and compelling as it was for the drug war thriller.
Villeneuve is making a conscious effort to keep his team intact. Frequent collaborator Roger Deakins, who took on cinematographer duties on Prisoners and Sicario, very early on was reported to have re-teamed with the director, whose body of work is starting to grow impressively.
Jóhann Jóhannsson earned Oscar nominations for his work on both Sicario and The Theory of Everything. He has also supplied the music for Arrival, Villeneuve's sci-fi film due out this fall starring Amy Adams.
The film is slated for October 6, 2017.
