Snyder Reveals "Complicated and Bizarre" Aspect to Batman v Superman
EW has shed some light on how the Flash may make his appearance in Batman v Superman, and it leads into a fascinating aspect the film seems set to explore.
The Flash's introduction is reportedly tied with Batman, and more specifically, Batman's nightmares. It's been revealed that the film has been threaded with various dream sequences throughout the narrative, from both Superman and Batman's perspective.
Whether these are nightmares, visions, or hallucinations is unclear, and it seems it won't be clear until at least Justice League. Zack Snyder in particular has high hopes for the Flash's appearance.
The director calls it one "giant Easter egg" that he hopes will launch endless online fan theories and debates. "We had such a straightforward narrative, on one hand, I wanted this other layer of the movie to be complicated and bizarre."
It's too early to say, but this could be the reason for Warner Bros. concerns, given that reports have appeared stating the studio are worried audiences won't respond well to the nature of the film. This aspect, for me, sounds fascinating, and it's certainly sparked plenty of curiosity ahead of this month's release.
