Spielberg to direct Roald Dahl's, The BFG
Steven Spielberg has confirmed he is to direct an adaptation of Roald Dahl's celebrated children's story The BFG (aka Big Friendly Giant).
Spielberg's Dreamworks studios bought the rights in 2010, originally with a view to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel's John Madden to direct. However, Madden is now busy on the Marigold Hotel sequel, and Spielberg has decided to pick up the reins.
As of now, it is pencilled in to be released sometime in 2016.
