Star Wars: The Force Awakens has Amazing Advanced Ticket Sales
One can say it's the most anticipated movie of all time. Star Wars is one of the best well known franchises around the world. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is already making box office records and the film hasn't even came out yet...
Wall Street Journal previously reported that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has over $50 million in advanced ticket sales. There is an indication that leads us to believe that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will easily beat Jurassic World's $209 million opening weekend.
The Star Wars phenomenon has lead to movie sites crashing and theaters opening for longer days to make more money off the film. Some theaters will be running different showings at unique times to capitalize on all the Star Wars hype.
The only concern for the film is how it will do internationally. Can Star Wars: The Force Awakens beat out James Cameron films Avatar, which made $2.79 Billion at the global box office, and the love story Titanic, which made $2.19 Billion?
Disney purchased Lucasfilm for $4 Billion back in 2012. The upcoming Star Wars movie could make half of what Disney bought it for! Talk about making your money back! (This is not even including merchandise and the sequels.)
Do you think Star Wars: The Force Awakens will become number one at the global box office?
