'Suicide Squad' Pulls its Total to $500 Million
Suicide Squad has defied moderate to poor critical reception to manage a $500 million box office take worldwide, under two weeks into its run in theaters.
With $509 million to its name, the film becomes the highest grossing August film ever should it continue its run of form. It already holds biggest domestic and global opening weekend in August history.
Sue Krolls, President of WB Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, said the movie, “is in position for another terrific weekend as our overseas expansion continues.” The film is set to debut in Germany in just a few days.
