Supergirl and The Flash Crossover Rumoured to be in the Works
CBS has gone on record in the past to say that Supergirl will be established as its own show capable of standing alone outside of continuity. Despite that, a new rumour is suggesting that crossover plans might be coming sooner than expected.
Bleeding Cool has been told, by a reliable source, that Supergirl and The Flash crossover plans are in the works. With an initial order of 13 episodes, the show has been optioned for 9 more for its debut season.
A crossover may just give Supergirl a ratings boost after it has seen decreases since losing The Big Bang Theory as its curtain raiser. If this is indeed happening, along with the Flash and Arrow crossover, it seems like major comic book ventures will continue to sneak into the mainstream.
