Supergirl Receives Full Season Order
With murmurs of a Flash/Supergirl crossover circling, and as CBS' most successful debut season as yet this year, the female-led superhero series has been picked up for a full season order of at least 20 episodes.
The show has been formerly picked up for an additional seven episodes, joining the ranks of Life in Pieces, Limitless, and Code Black, other new properties now given the luxury of extended season 1 time on air.
Supergirl currently averages 11.24 million viewers, much higher than recent ratings by shows like The Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which both achieved numbers in the 3 millions.
The show has been critically successful so far, and despite an initial and expected drop off of audiences following the premiere continues to hold solid numbers.
