'Superman & Lois' Spinoff Series in the works at The CW
Tyler Hoechlin's Superman is getting his own series. This is another potential Arrow-verse spinoff for The CW.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will be reprising their roles as the title characters in Superman & Lois for The CW. Todd Helbing will write the script and executive produce the potential series. The series will focus on one of the world's most famous superheroes and comics' most famous journalist as the new parents navigate the stresses and challenges of the modern world.
Greg Berlanti will produce the series with his Warner Bros. TV-based Greg Berlanti Productions producer Sarah Schechter and DC's Geoff Johns.
Hoechlin was first cast as Superman in Supergirl. Hoechlin and Tulloch appeared in last year's Arrow-verse crossover Elseworlds. This is the second Arrow-verse spinoff at The CW in development along with the female-centered Arrow spinoff. The CW has become sort of a DC television network as The Flash is its highest rated show.
Superman & Lois looks to lead the next era of the Arrow-verse if it gets picked up by The CW.
