Taken TV Pilot Gains Game of Thrones Director
With a Taken television series in development at NBC, and with the trilogy's co-writer and producer Luc Besson on board as executive producer, the pilot has reportedly gained its director.
According to Deadline, Game of Thrones and Homeland director Alex Graves has been given the nod to direct the first episode. That resume certainly speaks for his potential to bring a tight vision for the series to the small screen, given the popularity of the aforementioned properties.
Graves will also serve as an executive producer, for a project that sounded less enticing initially. Though the talent NBC is putting together for the Taken series is certainly promising. The question remains, whether there is really a story to be told in this franchise, particularly on the smaller screen. That being said, Limitless proved that you can take anything and make a franchise out of it.
