Taran Killam's 'Mating' Not Moving Forward at Showtime
The half-hour comedy pilot Mating starring Saturday Night Live alum Taran Killam will not be moving forward at Showtime.
It was one of the three comedy pilots ordered by Showtime back in January. The network picked up one, Jay Pharaoh's White Famous. SMILF and Mating were the two others. SMILF is still in the running to be picked up.
Mating's first season arc was about a recently divorced guy and his struggles to connect in the dating game.
Jason Katims, Michelle Lee, and Stu Zicherman were executive producing the series.
It was also announced today that Taran Killam would be leaving the role of King George in the musical phenomenon Hamilton on April 13.
