The CW Developing a 'Lost Boys' Anthology Series from 'Veronica Mars' Creator
The CW is set to offer up a new vampire drama series as it looks to develop a new series based on the 80's film The Lost Boys. iZombie and Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas is behind the project, reports TVGuide.com.
The series would potentially re-imagine the cult film over the course of seven seasons, with each new season covering 10 years. The first season would take place in San Francisco 1967, and each new season would feature new stories, characters, and settings.
Only the vampires would remain the same, and would keep the series tied together. The CW's currently existing vampire series The Vampire Diaries is about to end its run with its eighth and final season, so there's no better time to keep the vampires alive.
