'The Flash' and 'Supergirl' to Crossover Again, this Time for a Musical
The CW is set to utilise its cast members' vocal talents when The Flash and Supergirl crossover again for two musical episodes in the latter half of the season.
Not the same as the four-show crossover that includes Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow in November, this one will take advantage of Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist's experience on Glee, as well as a number of other cast members who have worked on Broadway, and producers say it will use "mostly pre-existing" music, with hopefully one original song per episode.
“Some of you may know my personal love for musicals, and we have a number of people who can sing across all the shows,” Greg Berlanti noted. “We’ve got such talented actors, 15 years from now when the last of these shows is going off the air, that would be a big regret [if we didn’t do it] – it’s too much fun not to,” Sarah Schechter said.
