'The Flash' Movie Shortlists Three Actresses for Female Lead
Three names remain in contention for the female lead in the upcoming The Flash film, slated for a 2018 release.
Variety is reporting that Kiersey Clemons (Dope) is the frontrunner for the role, followed by Lucy Boynton (Sing Street) and Rita Ora (50 Shades of Grey) according to THR.
Ezra Miller will play lead hero Barry Allen, and will first appear in next year's Justice League following a brief introduction in this year's Batman v Superman.
Reportedly, nobody knows who the female lead will actually play, though speculation suggests it's a version of Iris West. That particular character already plays a prominent role in The CW's small-screen series.
Production is intended to start this year on the film.
