'The Force Awakens' Trailer Record Broken by 'Fifty Shades Darker' Day 1 Views
From an aggregate tally of Facebook, YouTube and other such services, Fifty Shades Darker has broken Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer viewership record for its day 1 unveiling.
In under an hour, the new film had found 2.5 million views on the film's Facebook page, In total, Universal revealed that the trailer for the adaptation has been viewed 114 million times in the first 24 hours.
This takes the place that Star Wars previously held, which was viewed 112 million times on its first day of release online. The film opens February 10 next year.
