'The People v. O.J. Simpson,' 'Game of Thrones' Earn Big in Emmy Nominations
The TV Academy has put in their nominations for 2016, and FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson has earned itself 22 nods to land just shy of HBO's big awards winner Game of Thrones, which gained 23.
"O.J" was nominated for outstanding limited series, as well as recognition for its cast members in Sarah Paulson, Sterling K. Brown, Courtney B. Vance, Cuba Gooding Jr, David Schwimmer, and John Travolta.
FX has done well for itself, with Fargo also earning nominations alongside American Horror Story: Hotel.
“Working on ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’ has been a career highlight and its own reward, but I am especially moved by the recognition for everyone who devoted their hearts and souls to this project — from our brilliant cast to our amazing writers and directors to the extraordinary producers. We are all incredibly grateful. It’s a happy day,” creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy said in a statement this morning.
