'The People v. O.J. Simpson' Star Sterling K. Brown Joins 'The Predator'
Sterling K. Brown is the latest high-profile addition to Shane Black's The Predator. Having won a well-earned Emmy for playing Christopher Darden in The People v. O.J. Simpson, the actor is seeing his star rise in recent times. He followed that with a lead role in This Is Us, before casting in Black Panther confirmed that eyes are certainly on him as of late.
Now, THR brings word of Brown's casting in Black's Predator reboot. The trade reports that Brown will play "a government agent who jails Holbrook's ex-marine character, but later needs his help with the Predators." The article maintains that the film is set in the suburbs, but this has already been denied by Black in the past.
Boyd Holbrook is set to play the lead role following Benecio del Toro's departure from the film, while Moonlight star Trevante Rhodes and Keegan-Michael Key will both play former Marines. Olivia Munn of X-Men: Apocalypse plays a scientist.
The film's plot is being kept under wraps. It arrives in theaters February 9, 2018.
