The Remake of 'Pete's Dragon'
During the live action movie panel at Disney's D23 Expo, new details came out on 'Pete's Dragon.'
'Pete's Dragon' will be an upcoming remake of the 1977 film. It will star Oakes Fegley as Pete opposite Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford. Though Disney haven't shown off the dragon yet!
Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Production, was talking about 'Pete's Dragon' during the live action movie panel. He told the audience: "Like many great boy and his dog stories (or boy and his dragon stories), this one will make you laugh and make you cry."
At D23 they showed a quick sizzle reel for 'Pete's Dragon' and at the end the final shot was of Pete stroking something enormous and furry. But the audience wasn't able to see the dragon itself.
Other news about the movie is that it won't have the singing like in the original. But it will have the big furry dragon! The movie will be a live action and animation crossover, so it will be interesting to see if this movie will be successful or not.
