"The Vampire Diaries" To End After Eight Seasons
CW's long-running series The Vampire Diaries will end after eight seasons. The announcement was made during The Vampire Diaries panel at SDCC. Co-creator Julie Plec told the audience that the news was "bittersweet and emotional."
However, for fans who are sad that the show is coming to an end, it was also announced that co-creator Kevin Williamson is writing for the series again.
