'The Walking Dead' Getting 88-Hour Marathon on AMC
AMC's annual Fearfest, leading up to Halloween, will merge with The Walking Dead as the network schedules an 88-episode-long marathon ahead of the season seven premiere, which will go down as the show's most anticipated episode ever, no doubt.
The marathon will take place over the course of a week leading up to the premiere, beginning on Sunday, October 16, at 7am The first season and half of the second will air before a two-hour Walking Dead retrospective will debut.
From Monday, the marathon resumes at 6pm, as it will each night for the rest of the week, running into the early hours of the morning. During the day, Walking Dead will make way for AMC's horror films showcase.
The season 6 finale, then, will air right before the season seven premiere. The cliffhanger ending will be a hell of a lot easier to swallow for fans when the next episode will kick off right away.
