The Walking Dead Lends Another of its Cast to Tupac Biopic 'All Eyez on Me'
Lauren Cohan has been cast to play a role in the upcoming Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me, joining The Walking Dead costar Danai Gurira, who joined on just a few days ago.
Cohan will play Leila Steinberg, a key figure in Tupac's life. At 25 years old, Steinberg met the 17 year-old rapper after he came to one of her workshops (at which she mentors kids with talents that may enhance their lives). Knowing the kind of talent Shakur had, she started working closely with him.
Both people mentored one another through life, and Steinberg continues to this day to assist kids coming from poverty and privilege through a non-profit organisation called aim4theheart.org.
Cohan joins Gurira, as well as Demetrius Shipp, Jr as Tupac, Jamie Hector, Kat Graham. The film is being produced by James G. Robinson, David Robinson and LT Hutton.
Cohan can be next seen in Horror film The Boy, out January 22.
