'The West Wing' Creator Reveals Having Not Seen the Final 3 Seasons After Exiting After Season 4
Aaron Sorkin famously exited The West Wing after its fourth season, and during a panel at the ATX Festival in Austin, TX on Saturday, he revealed that he still hasn't seen the final three seasons that followed.
When he tried to watch the first episode of season five, he reveals having only gotten 20 seconds into it before stopping. “It felt like I was watching someone make out with my wife — it felt horrible,” he told the crowd at “The West Wing Administration” panel.
When the news broke that he was departing, Seinfeld's Larry david, who also exited his show, advised him against watching it. “Either the show is going to be great and you’re going to be miserable, or the show is going to be less than great and you’re going to be miserable,” he said David advised him. “Either way you’re going to be miserable.”
Sorkin was openly grateful for the show's newfound life since finding a home on Netflix. "I've got to learn how to use Netflix."
