The X-Files' New Poster Features an Old Enemy
Fox has just released a new poster for The X-Files mini series, which is due in January 2016. The silhouette of the Cigarette Smoking Man aka CBG Spender is quite an interesting choice from Fox, considering his presence in the trailers of this highly anticipated miniseries had been fleeting and ambiguous.
The plot is still a mystery but it appears that both Scully and Mulder are back at the FBI and the X-Files are re-opened. The latest trailer showed Mulder questioning if his life's work had been a lie. According to MovieWeb.com, the six-part mini series will include both stand alone episodes and continue the saga from the original series.
Mitch Pilegi will reprise his role as Skinner and presumably their boss. It is also worth mentioning that The Lone Gunmen: Melvin Frohike (Tom Braidwood), Richard Langly (Dean Haglund) and John Byers (Bruce Harwood) will be in this series. They were in the X-Files series as well as its spinoff, The Lone Gunmen (2001), which lasted one season. And finally, William B. Davis will also reprise his role as Cigarette Smoking Man.
New faces joining the cast are Joel McHale (Community) as Tad O'Malley and Robbie Amell (The Flash) as Agent Miller.
