Thomas Gibson's Replacement Found for 'Criminal Minds' with Damon Gupton Casting
Damon Gupton of Empire fame has been cast as a new series regular for Criminal Minds, replacing the gap left by Thomas Gibson following his on-set altercation.
Gupton will not play a direct replacement for Gibson's character, instead he will play Special Agent Stephen Walker from the counterintelligence division of the FBI. He will be introduced in the eighth episode of season 12.
“Our BAU family is growing,” said Erica Messer, Criminal Minds’ executive producer/showrunner. “We’re excited to have Damon join the show and work alongside our amazing cast and crew.”
