Thor: Ragnarok Likely to be Tom Hiddleston's Last Appearance as Loki
No one, apparently, has the temperament to stay in the superhero game forever. Christopher Nolan got out, Joss Whedon had enough, and now Hans Zimmer has walked away from the epic superhero ballads.
Tom Hiddleston is teasing his final days as Loki, suggesting that Thor: Ragnarok will be his final appearance in the villainous role. Appearing first in the original Thor film, the character has appeared in The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World, and was cut from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Speaking with The Daily Beast, Hiddleston said that "Thor 3 will be cool because I've not done it for four years. I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate."
When asked whether he will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, he said "I don't know! Honestly, I don't know. They haven't got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along."
The character's role going forward is up in the air, but Loki could appear if only briefly in Infinity War. Hiddleston has meanwhile become hot property since his first appearance in Thor, keeping a busy schedule and recently voicing interest in the James Bond character.
