'Throne of Glass' Fantasy Series Headed to TV at Hulu
Sarah J. Maas' bestselling fantasy series Throne of Glass has been picked up at Hulu. The streaming giant is developing Queen of Shadows, an epic adventury series based on the books, with the Mark Gordon Company serving as the studio behind the project.
The 100 writer Kira Snyder will pen the adaptation, with Anna Foerster directing on a potential pilot order. The series follows Celaena Sardothien, a complicated female assassin with a mysterious past and who only pines for freedom.
The six-book series has five out so far. Maas wrote the first novel when she was just 16. Hulu, meanwhile, is developing a name for itself, with The Handmaid's Tale in the works as well.
