Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's 'Inferno'
Tom Hanks returns as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon in 'Inferno'. The movie is based on Dan Brown's mystery novel of the same title and is a sequel to 'The DaVinci Code' (2006) and 'Angels & Demons' (2009).
This time, Robert Langdon's adventure begins when he wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia. He teams up with Sienna Brooks, a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories and prevent a madman from releasing a global plague connected to Dante's Inferno.
As in the previous two films, Ron Howard is both director and producer of 'Inferno'. Felicity Jones will play Dr. Sienna Brooks, Irrfan Khan as Harry Sims 'The Provost' and Ben Foster portrays Bertrand Zobrist. Omar Sy and Sidse Babett Knudsen are also cast.
Filming took place in Istanbul, Venice, Florence and Budapest and had wrapped up. Inferno will hit theaters in October 2016.
