Tom Holland (Spider-Man) Set Visit Sparks Intrigue for Potential Doctor Strange Role
With Marvel's phase 3 to kick off in the coming 12 months, there's plenty of excitement surrounding players new and old to the franchise.
One particular player is Tom Holland's Spider-Man, a character who has been over-saturated with origins and reboots in the last 15 years alone. But Marvel's acquisition is feeding the web-slinging character new life.
Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito tweeted a picture of himself, director Scott Derrickson, and Tom Holland on the set of Doctor Strange, fueling speculation that Spidey may play a role in the upcoming movie.
No confirmation has been made, and it may just be an elaborate tease for Marvel fans. Could it mean Spider-Man has a role in Doctor Strange? Or perhaps a team-up between the two characters at some point in Marvel's future? That second option is probably more likely.
By the time Marvel ends its run (though will they ever stop?) every character will have met everybody else anyway.
