During the Summer of 1984, a group of gay and lesbian activists come together to raise money to help support the families of the miners who are on strike at the Gay Pride Match in London. The big problem they face is the Union is embarrassed to accept their generous donation. The activists ignore the Union and head straight to the miners themselves to make their donations. A surprising partnership between two vastly different communities, both with similar morals, is forged.
