Two Batman Villains That Were Almost Included in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'
There already seems to be plenty going on in Batman v Superman, but there could have been even more. Zack Snyder has revealed that two famous Batman villains almost had a say in the events to unfold in the upcoming epic.
Speaking with Collider, Snyder revealed that the Joker and the Riddler both almost had roles in the film. Snyder bluntly described why he decided against having the two characters in the film: to keep the focus on Batman and Superman. I wise decision, considering the bloated cast already.
It also means the Joker gets to have his film in Suicide Squad, without any concern at Warner Bros. regarding a fitting re-introduction to the clown prince of crime, and also avoids any awkwardness pertaining to continuity (which isn't something they want to muck up at the very start of their expanded universe.)
