Two New Cast Added to Blade Runner Sequel
David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man, The Dark Knight) and Hiam Abbass (Munich, Exodus: Gods & Kings) have both landed roles in the sequel to the 1982 scifi classic Blade Runner.
The two will join Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford as well as Robin Wright, Ana deArmas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi and Dave Bautista. The film is set a few decades after the events in the original Blade Runner but the plot is still tightly under wraps. And aside from Harrison Ford who is confirmed to reprise his role as Deckard, it is not yet known who the rest of the actors will play.
The Blade Runner sequel will be directed by Dennis Villeneuve (Sicario) and produced by Ridley Scott. Filming is expected to begin soon for an October 2017 release.
