Universal Pictures Eyeing Charlize Theron for Fast and Furious Villain
According to Deadline, it seems writer Chris Morgan and director F. Gary Gray are eager to introduce a major female villain into the Fast and Furious franchise, which has proven itself a diverse mainstay in modern pop culture.
They, and Universal, are eager to bring on a big name for the role, and coming off her last road-heavy blockbuster, it remains to be seen whether Charlize Theron will want to trade the dirty outback for luxury travel.
Females haven't exactly been utlised to a suitable extent so far in the Fast and Furious franchise, and Theron is one actor who takes advantage of meaty roles. Whether she's interested at all is yet to be revealed.
The script has not been complete, but production will start later this year. Three films have been confirmed for a franchise that is going to refuse to die, at least in the foreseeable future.
