Sylvia just dreads her life every day. She just wants to have some kind of adventure.

Will comes from the ghetto to basically take all their time and give it back to the poor.
She for him, right away, represents all that is just wrong. She's right and seems so lost. And he is danger to her. He is excitement to her.
