Kenneth Branagh interviewed about playing the role of Laurence Olivier in the biopic My Week With Marilyn.
First he talks about taking on the role and the script of the movie. He liked playing this fictional version of Laurence Olivier and with this group of people. Especially being directed by Simon Curtis. On Michelle Williams performance: "She is really remarkable as Marilyn. There was a moment when Alaine, the original script supervisor from The Prince and the Showgirl 50 years previously, was sitting next to me on the set of Pinewood, on the same soundstage. Looking at the same set."
Kenneth also talks about working with director Simon Curtis and how nice and professional he was. About Eddie Redmayne, Branagh says he's beautiful and charming. And his tenderness really helped to play Colin Clark. He also talks about the fairytale of the movie and how Great-Britain and the world was going to change after all this happened.
