In this interview Michelle Williams talks about the story of My Week With Marilyn. The story of Colin Clark, who spent a week with Marilyn Monroe in England. He had a mini-affair with her on the set of her movie she was shooting there with Laurence Olivier. He published this account in a book after her death.
Michelle also talks about singing and dancing in My Week With Marilyn. "I felt like a little girl who's dreams came true for the first time." She rehearsed for weeks before shooting the singing and dancing you see in the film. "I didn't know if I could do it. Or if I was suited for the job. I haven't tested any of those skills for years and years." And she started to understand how Marilyn was so brilliant in the numbers.
Michelle Williams says she hopes her performance will expand the idea people have of Marilyn Monroe.
