Morgan Freeman: The basis of the story is this dolphin who was hurt bad enough to have to have his tail amputated.
Broderick Johnson (producer): They found an expert to create a prosthetic tail for her. And she has now become an inspiration for people all over the world.
Nathan Gamble: I went into the audition and Charles said, yeah, we're teaching the real Winter to do all this stuff. And I'm like, what? I had no idea we're gonna work with the actual Winter.
Charles Martin Smith (director): Winter really is the equivalent of maybe a ten-year-old kid. She likes to play. She's sometimes, doesn't do what she's supposed to do. She's sometimes mischievous.
This set revolves around Winter.
Harry Connick Jr.: It's kind of wild. I mean, she's almost like one of the actors.
