Reactions from journalists.
Opening week, June 2011

Jason Kliot: The movie manages through all these stories, to create not just an amazing portrait of the time, but to also bring the weight of this moment in history upon us. And I think that's quite extraordinary.

Megan McCarthy: To get the access that he had, was amazing. You know, you see David Carr kind of creating the story about like the Chicago Tribune and basically how he crafted a story that ends up taking down a CEO.

Bob Simon: I had no idea what I was coming to see. I just knew there's a film about the New York Times. And it's not only captivating, it's really important. And I'm about to take out my BlackBerry and email all my fellow journalists and tell them that they've gotta come see this as soon as it opens, which is Friday I think.

Brian Williams: I love watching journalism when it's well done. I love making filmmaking when it's well done. I'm an old romantic, so when the print presses roll, it gets to me on a fundamental level.

Morley Safer: There's a certain sense of gloom about it, obviously. Because what hates to see a major news organization in trouble. And they're, we are all in trouble.

Maya Baratz, Julia Schweizer and Pat Kiernan also share their thoughts on the film.
