Check out the trailer for Westworld season two below!

HBO debuted the first trailer for season 2 of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s thrilling western sci-fi series Westworld. The dialogue-free footage accompanied by Sammy Davis Jr.’s “I’ve Gotta Be Me,” illustrates the aftermath of the massacre that occurred during season one’s finale “The Bicameral Mind” and features a violently delightful journey for hosts Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), Maeve (Thandie Newton), and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright). Yes, Bernard! All three are confirmed for Season 2 along with appearances from Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) and Lee Sizemore (Simon Quaterman). Most significantly, the preview's final image features a long close-up on a bloodied but grimacing Ed Harris' Man in Black, who is every bit alive and well.

But if you’re wondering whether or not we’ll see the return of theme park architect Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins), Nolan will not rule out anything “I think with this show, you want to assume nothing.” It's safe to assume any non-humanoids who weren't killed after season one will likely return including young William (Jimmie Simpson), Logan (Ben Barnes), Elsie (Shannon Woodward) along with hosts Teddy (James Marsden) and Angela (Talulah Riley).

With Season 2 not expected to premiere until 2018, showrunners Nolan and Joy offered a speculative nugget for fans attending this weekend’s Hall H Comic-Con panel. When asked if Samurai World would factor into season two, Nolan counter-questioned “How much do you want it to play a role in season two?” Of course all of Hall H expressed a roaring approval. Nolan’s response “Doesn’t look like anything to me.”
