WGN America Orders Second Season for 'Outsiders'
WGN America has renewed Outsiders for a second season. Its premiere season has seen solid numbers grow week by week since its January 26 debut.
The show has so far seen an average of 2.8 million viewers per week in live-plus-7 ratings. WGN America's refurbishment as an entertainment channel housing original series has been a long and hard investment for Tribune Studios, so its success is warranted.
"We are thrilled that Outsiders has connected with fans in such a powerful and palpable way, and met our highest expectations in every way possible," WGNA and Tribune Studios President Matt Cherniss said.
13 episodes have been order for season 2, and the show follows an off-the-grid family battling outside forces as they fight for their right to maintain their lifestyle.
