Will Ferrell to Play a Very Different Holmes in the Upcoming Sherlock Film with John C. Reilly
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, of Step Brothers co-starring fame, are set to play the iconic characters of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, respectively, in the upcoming comedy Holmes & Watson.
The film is directed by Etan Cohen, who wrote Idiocracy and Get Hard. Originally, Sacha Baron Cohen was eyed to star opposite Ferrell, though that fell apart. The two have been keen to re-team since Anchorman 2.
The pair are also set to star in Border Guards, an in-development project from director Adam McKay. The Holmes film will likely target a PG-13 comedy vibe similar to that of the duo's previous collaborations.
