Win Morisaki joins 'Ready Player One'
Win Morisaki has been cast in Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One.
The 25 year old boy-band lead vocalist, who also starred in the 2008 television series “Gakko Ja Oshierarenai!," will play a Gunter (a user who searches for Halliday's Easter Egg) known as Daito in OASIS and whose real name is Toshiro Yoshiaki.
Morisaki joins Tye Sheridan, Olvia Cooke, Simon Pegg, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller, and Mark Rylance.
The film takes place in 2044 and follows a teenager who embarks on a hidden Easter Egg in the digital world of OASIS. It's adapted from the novel by Earnest Cline.
Filming is expected to commence this month, and will open in theaters March 30, 2018.
