Wolverine 3 Confirmed for R-Rated Shooting

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Wolverine 3 has been quickly tied closely with the release of Deadpool, with rumours and murmurs instantly surfacing regarding a possible R-rating for the Hugh Jackman sequel.

According to THR, Wolverine 3 has always been intended as an R-rated film, with the expected rating coming from the MPAA when the time came.

The presumption comes from the apparent level of violence in Michael Green's script, and assumedly language, meaning the third Wolverine film might be the first to alienate kids from seeing it.

THR continues on to report that the first teaser poster indicated the plan for a more adult-oriented sequel. While it will be interesting to see how they handle the content following Deadpool's breakout performance (which comes largely from its refreshingly honest approach), some audiences will groan and moan, understandably so, that the latest in a long line of Wolverine and X-Men films will not allow children to see it.

The film is set for a March 3 2017 release.
