World War Z Sequel Gets New Writer, and New Life
After some brief drama in which director J.A. Bayona was rumoured to be attached to the Jurassic World sequel, World War Z finds a new writer to Kickstart the project.
Dennis Kelly has been signed on for writing duties. Kelly created the British show Utopia, and he will pick up from an early script that was penned by Steven Knight.
Sources say that there was little Bayona could do regarding supposed offers to direct Jurassic World 2, considering he has a holding deal with Paramount for the zombie sequel.
The Jurassic drama seems to have nudged Paramount into action, and World War Z seems set for plenty of attention in the coming months.
World War Z is scheduled for a June 9, 2017 release.
