X-Men: Apocalypse only Second to Wolverine for Lowest Rotten Tomatoes Rating in the Franchise
X-Men: Apocalypse makes its domestic debut this week, but plenty of critics and audiences have seen it so far. And things aren't looking good for the latest mutant showdown.
Sitting at a 52% rating currently on Rotten Tomatoes, there's a good chance that number may pick up once general audiences in the U.S. start to see the film. If the film doesn't pick up some steam, though, it will be a disappointment for Fox following the success of Days of Future Past.
The film as it stands now is second only to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which sits at a miserable 38%. Days of Future Past, meanwhile, sits on 91%, followed by First Class (87%), X2 (87%), and X-Men (81%). Apart from The Last Stand (58%), the franchise has seen consistent performances.
We'll have to wait and see whether Apocalypse grows favourably or not once audiences everywhere get to make up their minds.
