X-Men Star Cast in CBS 'MacGyver' Prequel Drama
CBS has cast its new MacGyver, tapping X-Men star Lucas Till for the role.
The network pilot will see a reboot of the 1980's television series, and will see Till take on the role that Richard Dean Anderson made famous over thirty years ago.
The pilot is described as a reimagining of the original, following a 20-something year-old MacGyver as he's recruited into a clandestine organisation where his skills for solving problems in unconventional ways is utilised in order to prevent disasters from taking place.
Joshua Boone has also been cast in a series regular role, playing MacGyver's high school best friend Gunner. Till's casting closes the book on an extensive search for a leading man for the show, a book that included many names but not limited to one ethnicity.
