Zack Snyder brings on new Cinematographer for 'Justice League'
Production is reportedly underway in London for Justice League, the follow-up to the polarizing universe-launching Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
And while director Zack Snyder has shared every film barring Man of Steel, Dawn of the Dead, and Legend of the Guardians with frequent collaborator Larry Fong, the two have parted ways at least temporarily.
Fabian Wagner has been tapped to take the role for Justice League, for his biggest project yet. Wagner was the director of photography on the second season of Sherlock, five episodes of Da Vinci's Demons, and a number of episodes for Game of Thrones. His biggest feature film credit is last year's Victor Frankenstein.
It seems an interesting and maybe risky move on Snyder's part, particularly given that the one factor of his filmmaking that cannot be disputed is his incomparable visual prowess. Perhaps the director wasn't altogether happy with the end product on BvS, or maybe a different aesthetic he believes can be enhanced by a new set of eyes.
