Zack Snyder Directed One Scene from 'Suicide Squad'
While Zack Snyder is credited as an executive producer on Suicide Squad, it seems he got to flex his directing muscles for a small portion of it too. Spoilers follow.
There's an early sequence involving Captain Boomerang, played by jai Courtney, who is captured by Ezra Miller's The Flash when trying to rob a bank. The cameo is a nice, albeit brief, introduction to the character, but Snyder was the man behind the camera, not Ayer.
“Flash was always in the movie, we just got lucky because Justice League was happening and they had the uniform, they had the assets, so we were able to get that photography," David Ayer said during a press day.
Ayer confirmed that it was filmed during post-production on Suicide Squad, and that Zack Snyder did direct the scene.
It's a cool little fact, really, and doesn't exactly hinder Ayer's vision in any way whatsoever. As he said, the Flash was always in the movie...
