'Zootopia' Reaches the Billion Dollar Milestone at the Worldwide Box Office
Zootopia took home $4.4 million this weekend, which puts it in the $1 billion club at the worldwide box office. It becomes the second Disney film this year to do so, and the eleventh of all time.
The film's domestic total is at $337.22 million, while internationally it has accumulated $662.8 million. It sits only behind Captain America: Civil War as the highest earner at the box office this year.
The animated animal pic joins Frozen, Minions, and Toy Story 3 as the fourth animation to pass the billion dollar mark. The film hits shelves June 7.
