Broad Green Picks up Terrence Malick and Christian Bale's 'Knight of Cups'
The latest movie from Terence Malick premiered at the 2015 Berlin International Film Festival last night and by the end of the night found a buyer in fledgling distributor Broad Green.
Broad Green has picked up the U.S. distribution rights to Knight of Cups which stars Christian Bale, as well as Malick’s next film which has the working title of Project V for a reported $7 million.
Malick has been quietly going about his business shooting two movies of the past few years, both of which star Christian Bale. The first is Knight of Cups which will now have it distribution handled by domestically by Broad Green.
Malick has been shooting a lot of footage in different locations over the year before going into post-production to finish Knight of Cups in time for Berlin. This news comes off the back of another Malick movie— Voyage of Time— being signed up with IMAX, and again, Broad Green to distribute the movie which sees Brad Pitt narrate.
